About Us Forest Park Community Church is a 100 year old urban congregation located in northwest Baltimore, Maryland. We are a part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), and as such we are committed to the Bible as God’s truth revealed to mankind. We are a caring, friendly church, whose purpose is to bring glory to God by ministering to a rebellious, hurting world. Sunday Morning at Forest Park Our weekly worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday. This is followed by a brief time of food and fellowship before we return to strengthening our faith during the Christian Education hour, which begins at 12:00. Our Worship Our worship service is a blend of the traditional and the contemporary. By 'traditional' we mean that we follow a liturgy based on the concept of covenant renewal. By that, we mean that every Lord’s Day (Sunday) we come together as the people of God, in response to His call, to renew our covenantal relationship with Him. He calls us to worship Him; He renews us as we confess our sins and receive His forgiveness; He instructs us through the reading and the preaching of His holy Word; He feeds us at His table; He blesses us and sends us out to be ambassadors of His grace for another week. In our worship service you will hear traditional hymns of the faith, responsive readings, unison prayers, the Gloria Patri, the Apostle’s Creed and many other things that you may have heard in church growing up. This, too, is what we mean by traditional. By contemporary we mean that we also, in addition to the traditional hymns, worship God with theologically sound contemporary praise and worship songs. We also have an awesome cross-generational gospel choir!
